Presently Business Communication and Personal Communication are indistinguishable.
Business Communication concerns itself with facilitating the work of professional knowledge workers like decision makers, corporate leaders, consultants etc. It is progressed by interactions conducted at the discretion of the professional. The interactions are free form, viz., their nature, sequence and recipient cannot be predicted in advance. They may encompass collaboration, content development, processing, cataloguing, and performance management and are initiated by distinct expectations. Consequently, team members may assemble an infinite number of interaction sequences on a Document. In comparison, Personal Communication covers only contribution, dispatch and filing. The interaction sequences possible on a Document are limited. This handicaps it for Business Communication.
Knowledge interactions, apart from being free form are also usually asynchronous, viz., the participants are not in contact. Business Communication protect judgments from being conceived in isolation by promoting free knowledge flow or the convergence of opinion. Fear and ambition are dangerous influences that may vitiate judgments taken in isolation. A means for free knowledge flow establishes the healthy debate needed to see issues in a clear perspective. Free knowledge flow is also favored by Knowledge workers since it gives them the courage of collective thinking.
The capture of knowledge interactions is of considerable value as they incorporate the implicit knowledge of the organization's knowledge resources. The accumulation of Knowledge interactions on an issue represents an organization's experience for all practical purposes. Knowledge Workers are pre-disposed towards this experience as it informs them past patterns to aid strategy and tactics.
Unlike the conventional approach, mine does not directly target the capture of tacit knowledge with content sharing software like Email, Collaboration or Document Management. It also does not distinguish between the various unstructured collaborative processes that promote success like fact evaluation, strategy formulation, innovative problem solving, etc. Conventional IT requires either self-organization or a process definition followed by integration to conduct these processes, as it cannot deal with spontaneous polyglot processes conducted by unrepeatable workflows.
I have analyzed that all unstructured
collaborative processes are composed of repeatable knowledge interactions conducted
in the context of Documents. Personnel engage in these interactions with team
members or professional communities as part of their daily Business Communication,
or spontaneous collaboration in context. My work offers personnel a smart interface
that harnesses IT to anticipate their actions and synthesize the emerging process.
Personnel are not taxed in any way. Collaboration is achieved by recording the
opinion in context before execution of an interaction.

The science harnesses replication technology to support the interface irrespective of the worker distribution and connectivity. It provides the logic to independently resolve replication conflicts that arise in defining the original when documents are shared. The interface overcomes all the problems of email. It improves upon email's strength of anytime and anywhere working for superior reflection.
The smart and unified interface for work and interaction replaces email for Business Communication. The interface imparts an identity to the knowledge worker, which may span multiple roles; organizes, anticipates, and routes the worker’s free form interactions; and offers effortless procedures to catalogue Documents, capture content and conduct collaboration in context. It offers prompt information on anxieties that assail the worker. The tight integration of the framework’s knowledge maps with routine operations ensures their regular maintenance. The way of working offered is natural, supports consistent usage across the enterprise, and satisfies all the work and interaction needs of the knowledge worker to deliver the marvelous work experience needed to assure its adoption.
